THE DOWN SINDROME CETRE

 The DOWN Center is placed in middle or town central aria and has good accessibility for all beneficiary of it. In the center the program is covered for youngsters affected by down sindrome and consist in handicaft, candles workshops, sport activities, nonformal education, preparing for independant life activities.  Young people are prepared in the center to increase there capacity to learn and use there mental capacity to understand and develop skills use for there future and the second group, youngsters, try to use there skills and knowledge to integrate themselves into community by independent life and work, as final goal. For this reason, the center program is split in two specific agenda and use specific methods for. In this environment we need EVS volunteers, because we already experiate foreigner volunteers projects and we observed that the youngsters are very interested to communicate with this kind of people, because of there language that is curiously different and also and mainly because down people are very friendly people generally. So, the main reason is we need more friends for our youngsters, and second we need some help in our activities program with youth involvement that can offer the youth spirit instead of elderly vision communication, that sometime can come, because, as we mentioned the center activities are lead by parents.
